Founder & Director
Clara founded Atrium in 2011 with one rule: never list a home you would not live in yourself.
Buyers decide in the first minute, and most of what they notice costs very little to fix. Before your photographs are taken, spend a weekend on these five things.
Fix every dripping tap and every door that sticks
Replace dead bulbs, and use the same warm white throughout
Clear the hallway, because it sets the size of the whole house in a buyer's mind
Paint any wall that is not white or a soft neutral
Tidy the front garden and clean the front door
What never pays back
A new kitchen rarely returns its cost before a sale. Neither does a new bathroom, unless the old one does not work. Buyers expect to put their own stamp on a home, and they price that in.
Fix what a buyer would notice. Leave what they would want to choose.
When to ask us
If you are unsure whether a job is worth doing, send us a photo before you start. We will tell you honestly whether it will change the price, or just your weekend.
